BAD….The bad kampong road Jalan Podos, KB with Lukia’s photo inserted

THE people living in the Kg. Tambuluang, Taginambur at Kota Belud complained to the PKR Wanita Chief, Puan Lukia Indan and the KK MP Hiew King Cheu during their visit to the Kota Belud district on a video caramah session last week, they are very concern about the very bad condition of the earth road leading to the few kampongs here.
This Jalan Podos as described by the people here has not been maintained by the authorities for a long time and now it is very difficult for smaller vehicles to pass. We have to drive very slowly and to avoid the big potholes and big rocks extruding from the road surface. It is even more difficult to drive on this road in rainy days because it is slippery and there are many deep mud holes.
Lukia said she lives in the kampongs here and she personally had difficulties in driving on this road too. The Pakatan Rakyat team from DAP, PKR and PAS last week had held a video caramah in the kampong here and the visitors found the condition of the road in these kampongs is really bad and slippery after the rain fall.
Lukia said the BN Kota Belud Member of Parliament Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan and the Kadamanian Assemblyman cum Assistant Minister Datuk Herbert Timbun had totally neglected the welfare and well being of the hundreds of people in Kg. Tambuluang and the surrounding kampongs.
She wants to know that why there is a project on going to build a huge bridge crossing the river and yet the road connecting to the kampongs has not been upgraded immediately. Lukia wants the Jalan Podos to be immediately upgraded with widening, sealed, and provided with proper drainage.
Lukia said we are now in the 21st century, and why are we still being left at the era of the 50’s? This is absolute nonsense and this clearly reflects the inability, inefficiency and careless of the BN government. The BN had failed the people and we continue to suffer from their misdeed, this is not fair because we are also the tax-payers and same as every one in Malaysia.
The bad infrastructure facilities and the poor condition of our kampongs in Sabah, when these are compared to the many advance beautiful kampongs which had been upgraded in the West Malaysia, we are at least 35 years behind, said the KK MP Hiew.
