KUALA LUMPUR: Timbalan Ketua Angkatan Muda KEADILAN, (AMK) Khairul Anuar Ahmad Zainuddin, menyifatkan dakwaan polis bahawa rampasan beberapa jenis senjata berbahaya dikaitkan dengan perhimpunan Bersih, melucukan.
- KD
The Molotov coctail
Though at the moment of writing no reports of tank deployments have come from iran, I thought i would gather some basic info on anti tank tactics.
The molotov coctail (in iran calledmolotovkoktor by some) is mainly effective against armoured vehicles and tanks.
A Molotov cocktail cannot destroy an armored vehicle, but it can make it very hot and smoky inside, forcing the crew out of it. It can also render the tank completely useless by blocking its sight.
Everybody knows how a Molotov cocktail is built. What everybody doesn't know is that there are many different kinds of them, each with its own use. Here is a quick walk-trough on different types of the Molotov cocktail.
1. The classic Molotov Cocktail
The classic cocktail is the one everybody knows. One poures Gasoline (benzine) into a glass bottle. The bottle shouldn't be filled to the top, efter all, it is to be thrown. A piece of cloth is put into the neck, keeping the gasoline inside. The piece of cloth is best used if it is soaked in something flammable too. It should not be soaked in Gasoline, but is more effective when soaked in kerosene (paraffin) or diesel.
2. Sticky Molotov Cocktail
This version of the Molotov cocktail is especially made to stick to a target. It also produces a heavy black smoke, blocking the view of anything near the impact scene. It is ideal for tanks, because it sits on the metal, heating it up inside.
Mix Gasoline (benzine) and small pieces FMX foam. The foam will be desolved in the Gasoline, making it very thick and sticky. When putting the piece of cloth in the bottle neck, make sure it is very tight, and that you have no chemicals left on your hands, burning yourself.
3. Smoky Molotov Cocktail
The smoky molotov coctail is ideal for blocking the view of Basiij, or whoever is causing a fuss. The smoke is heavy, thus remaining for a couple of minutes, and blocking the view of gunners.
Mix Gasoline (benzine) with some bars of soap or dishsoap. It will make the mix sticky (though not as much as the FMX foam). the smoke will be much more chocking, making it perfect for scaring of enemy ground personnel.
Where to hit a tank
Tanks cannot be destroyed by Molotov Cocktails, but one can make it unbearable to remain within it either by making it to hot inside or to smoky.
To do this, the Molotov Cocktail needs to hit the right spot. This is in the case of battle tanks often behind the gun turret. (as shown in the picture).
Throwing the Molotov Coctail near the air vent will both make it extremely hot within the cockpit, and extremely smoky.
