Gelak-gelak dalam borak online KJ

NONE

Jawapan: Jason Lo kawan baik saya. Saya kenal dia sejak kecil.

Impian masa depan

YB, adakah YB masih mampu menjadi PM ketika berumur 40 tahun?

NONEHahaha. Ini firnah! Urban legend.

Koresponden perang.

Hal ehwal lelaki

Apa kelemahan PM kita?

Beliau suka lagu 'Nobody But You' oleh (Wondergirls)? Ini kelemahan yang buruk.

Khairy, siapa penyanyi kegemaran kamu?

Tentulah bukan Wondergirls. Haha. Maaf DS Najib. Saya suka U2, Counting Crows dan Dave Mathews. Artis tempatan, saya suka Faizal Tahir. Beliau cool.

Makanan kegemaran YB?

Patin atau ikan keli.

NONE
Apa pendapat anda tentang Justin Bieber?

Muntah.

Patutkah Mahathir kembali menjadi perdana menteri?

Hahaha. Tak akan. Saya tak kenal langsung beliau kecuali melihatnya di parlimen sahaja. Satu lagi pembohongan dan urban legend. Orang ramai percaya pada omong kosong. - MK

Thursday June 2, 2011 11:31
Khairy Jamaluddin:
If they commit an act that is seditious, then action should be taken against them. There are many racial/racist groups out there. Not just Perkasa. I have said from the start that I don't support Perkasa. The first UMNO leader to say so. Then Nazri. I maintain my position.

Thursday June 2, 2011 11:39
Khairy Jamaluddin:
You're right. That's why we have the ETP etc. Bottom line is we're not creative enough. We don't innovate. Hence the focus on education and training today.

jambalaya :
Do u think it takes a privileged person to succeed in Malaysian politics today, especially in BN? It seems to me that u either have to be in an established network or be a son/daughter/nephew of somebody to make it in UMNO. Also, because of the trends in urban areas, is someone from KL (with no kampung) severely disadvantaged?
Thursday June 2, 2011 11:40
Khairy Jamaluddin:
That's something that I am trying to change in UMNO Youth. Although I may have been privileged, I don't want others to not succeed because of the lack of connections. I will be roping in more talented people into Pemuda based on merit and soley merit.

SP :
Good morning, YB. What is your take on the IPPs? Do we need them?
Thursday June 2, 2011 11:41
Who is the best youth leader in Malaysia now?
Khairy Jamaluddin (Umno)

 ( 30% )
Mukhriz Mahathir (Umno)
 ( 20% )
Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin (PKR)
 ( 7% )
Nasrudin Hassan (PAS)
 ( 38% )
Wee Ka Siong (MCA)
 ( 3% )
T. Mohan (MIC)
 ( 2% )

Thursday June 2, 2011 11:41
Khairy Jamaluddin:
Yes, we do because TNB cannot be the sole generator but we need a better system to buy power from the IPPs. Look at transparent auction systems for power in the future, not lopsided PPAs like those signed early on in the 90s. Those were unfair to the govt and ultimately the people

LGE has brought in his own style of governance but to what extent is he really practicing CAT? Ask small stall owners who have had their premises taken down. Was the WiFi contract tendered out as per CAT? There are weaknesses there.

can u tell us about "UMNO try to approch PAS" esspecially Tuan Guru Nik Aziz...can u give an opinion about this matter?
Thursday June 2, 2011 11:43
Khairy Jamaluddin:
I think there is nothing wrong with political leaders talking even if they are from opposing parties. UMNO and PAS probably will never merge but we can work together on key issues like development and poverty. Plus there is some discomfort among PAS leaders today about being seen to be too close to DAP and Anwar.

Groups such as Pembela and Perkasa seem to have taken over the traditional role of Umno Youth in bringing forth pro-Malay issues. Do you sense discomfort about this among Umno grassroots leaders? (From: Burn99)
Thursday June 2, 2011 11:47
Khairy Jamaluddin:
Maybe, but times have changed. This is not how I want to position UMNO/BN Youth in this day and age. I want to move beyond racial rhetoric. Malay issues are important but not in the way conveyed by the groups you've mentioned. I want to safeguard Malaysia and make politics more progressive. I believe the majority of young people are with my approach and not with the past dreams of old-timers.

rajiv :
how do your views/policies differ from Tony Pua - what's the biggest policy difference?
Thursday June 2, 2011 11:50
Khairy Jamaluddin:
I am a realist. I understand that the federal budget has a limit and that we have to plan for the future. Tony and I agree on many things. But I think he believes the government's coffers are bottomless and likes to indulge in Anwar-style promises of giving everything free. But otherwise he's OK. I think he went to a decent university.

People have the right to assembly. The police should facilitate and make it easy and peaceful so that it can be complete in a few hours. BN will not join because we feel electoral reforms can be discussed through dialogue and that the rally is a political statement even though done by NGO. I welcome the opportunity to discuss with Bersih if they are willing to see me.

Well. benchmarked against many other countries, yes. But I think its not the right time to review politicians' pay when the rakyat are suffering from inflation. Other ways to curb corruption. Do you think Wawasan 2020 will be achieved?
Thursday June 2, 2011 11:59
Khairy Jamaluddin:
Tough. Income/GDP target in present global economic environment will be a challenge. Plus you have to aska fundamental economic question: if we push GDP growth will that come at the expense of income inequality? Empirical data is alarming. So maybe we need to review the targets. Not just GDP but also sociaoeconomic justice.
Thursday June 2, 2011 12:00
assoluto29 :
Adding on to your statement that you and Nazri do not support racists like PERKASA, but yet you and ultimately the BN coalition that you are part of are not taking action against these folks. IE you only SAY that you are against it. But yet you do not push your coalition to take stern action nor do you actually make a clear stand against them for example, resigning from UMNO. If only you and Nazri are against them and dare to speak out, but only in English media does that then mean that the rest of UMNO is silently supporting them?
Thursday June 2, 2011 12:00
Khairy Jamaluddin:
I don't think so. Many are against. Nazri is right. There is greater freedom today. We should laugh off what Ibrahim Ali says or respond with intellectual arguments. The same people who are against sedition laws want him to be arrested under the same laws. I would rather laugh him off.

Thursday June 2, 2011 12:02
Khairy Jamaluddin:
Please read my speech at the last UMNO Youth assembly. I touched extensively on NEP. In short good intentions but poor execution. We need reforms to NEP-type policies which I outlined.

Umno seems to be losing their ground among the well-exposed, better-educated and vocal urban youths. It's almost fashionable to speak out against the government. As Umno Youth chief what initiatives have been done, if any, to bridge this crucial gap and reach this thinking and expressively vocal group. (From: ZM)

Khairy Jamaluddin:
I have initiated many things most notably the BN Youth Lab to reach out to this segment. We have fought for issues like housing, employment, education. And I think we're making some headway. I have also re-orientated BN Youth into a more progressive movement. But others need to show that they are also committed.

Abdul Azim :
What do you think about the 1Malaysia email project?
Thursday June 2, 2011 12:22
Has Barisan improved in its online presence and engagement since the 2008 General Elections?
Yes

 ( 25% )
No
 ( 53% )
Don't know
 ( 4% )
Don't care
 ( 19% )

Thursday June 2, 2011 12:23
Khairy Jamaluddin:
I don't think its necessary. It has attracted a lot of criticism and the benefits from this project is not enough to justify its approval.

YB, is it true that you were supposed to marry Nurul Izzah once? (From: Didi)
Thursday June 2, 2011 12:24
Khairy Jamaluddin:
Hahaha. Never. I don't even know her apart from seeing her in Parliament. Another lie and urban legend. People believe in any crap they hear.

Hello Khairy, nama saya Harry Lee Chin Yeow, saya seorang warga Malaysia (berbangsa cina) dari NS. I'm currently studying in Melbourne. My question is this: In Melbourne, I would always ask fellow Malaysian-students here who they support politically. Believe it or not, all of them, and i mean ALL OF THEM said that they would vote for the Opposition.

So, if BN continues to be this way down in the future, do you think the Opposition will one day be the ruling government?

Khairy Jamaluddin:
I hope not. But its for BN to prove that we are better. We can't just tell young people to be thankful, syukur, and support BN. That is outdated but I still hear older gen politicos saying that. Come on man, times have changed. We need to show people what we're doing now, not just recount our jasa from the past. I am working hard to affect this change, so is the PM. I hope people will give DS Najib a strong mandate to carry out that change.

Mat Tahir :
Adakah Islam akan terus terbela jika UMNO terus memerintah? adakah hukum hudud akan dilaksanakan suatu hari nanti?
Thursday June 2, 2011 12:27
Khairy Jamaluddin:
Insya'Allah Islam aka terus dibela dibawah UMNO.

Khairy Jamaluddin:
UMNO Youth leader age is limitless. Rest of UMNO Youth must be under 40. I would like to introduce age limit to youth chief post but then people will say that I am protecting my position from those over 40. So I will suggest it when I am about to leave UMNO Youth (one more term, if I win).

some of UMNO leaders seems to be so excited to unite with PAS. to me, they should keep focus to carry on with it's transformation agenda instead. what do u think bro ?
Thursday June 2, 2011 12:36
Khairy Jamaluddin:
Can go concurrently. Just because we make overtures to PAS doesn't mean that that is all we do. Transformation is a priority. PAS talks are a 'side dish'.

Thursday June 2, 2011 12:37
Khairy Jamaluddin:
I won't join another party. I am an UMNO man. I won't completely retire either. Politics is like Hotel California. You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave.

Thursday June 2, 2011 12:43
